Meet Bea
Bea Racoma (she/her) is a freelance actor, improviser, writer, and PR professional interested in art that explores and challenges gender, politics, and social norms. She holds a BFA Creative Writing degree and Theater Arts and Global Politics minors from Ateneo de Manila University.
Her acting credits include Legally Blonde The Musical (Ateneo Blue Repertory, 2025); S/ALITAN: Dalawang Dula (Mad Child Productions, 2024); Tanghalang Ateneo’s Makbetamaximus (An Adaptation of Macbeth) (2021), which screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024, and Lysistrata ng Bakwit (An Adaptation of Lysistrata) (2018), which was her Theater Arts thesis; UP Playwrights’ Theatre’s award-winning Nana Rosa (2019-20) and Dulaang UP’s La Casa de/The House of/Ang Tahanan ni Bernarda Alba (2019); and the films The Remotes (Los Otros, 2025), Isang Himala (CreaZion Studios, 2024), and Walang Kasarian Ang Digmang Bayan/The Revolution Knows No Gender (Solar Pictures, 2019). She has also performed at the 2023 Manila Improv Festival, the 2022 Singapore Improv Festival, and Third World Improv’s 2022 14-hour Fringeprov Festival, and is a member of the Improv Sessionistas.
Since 2023, Bea has been doing PR work for Barefoot Theatre Collaborative and has been part of the critically acclaimed stagings of Bar Boys: The Musical (2025), We Aren’t Kids Anymore (2025), Mula Sa Buwan (2024), Bar Boys: A New Musical (2024), and The Last Five Years (2023). As a freelance marketing professional, she has also worked on EMULSYON: A Twin Bill (Apothecary Productions, 2024) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Children’s Biennale: Balangáw (CCP & Black Canvas, 2022).
As a Production Manager, she recently managed Orphie and The Book of Heroes (Ateneo Blue Repertory, 2024). She was also a founding member of the theatre company Positive Space and worked as a Co-Production Manager for its critically acclaimed inaugural production Stop Kiss (2019), with lead Missy Maramara winning a 2020 LEAF Award for “Outstanding Performance by an Actress.” While in Ateneo, she served as the Company Manager of Ateneo Blue Repertory (blueREP) for its 25th season (2016-17).
Bea has years of experience in playwriting, poetry, and corporate copywriting. Her works have been performed in Company Call: blueREP at 25 (2017) and Shared Spaces (2016), both originals by blueREP, while her poems have been published in Ilahás and HEIGHTS Ateneo.
During the pandemic, Bea also provided specialized teaching and mentoring services to young actors who were starting out in their craft.
A proud multi-hyphenate, Bea believes in doing art both for sparking social transformation and simply the love and humanity of it. She is also an avid fan of animals, movies, series, books, anime, and video games. Mention Bloodborne or any of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga and watch her rave about them for hours.

Bea lives to create and perform. She has years of face-to-face and online experience with acting in various styles and genres, including script-based theatre and film, one-woman and ensemble improvised theatre, devised theatre, and online/hybrid theatre. She also mentors young actors.
