This song cycle by Drew Gasparini marked Barefoot Theatre Collaborative’s (BTC or Barefoot Collab) second staging of an international musical. It follows five artists as they deal with the complexities, difficulties, and joys of growing up and pursuing their artistic dreams.
We Aren’t Kids Anymore received critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike, with many noting the relatability of the songs and the powerhouse performances as the main selling points.
As she has done with previous Barefoot Collab productions, Bea worked on PR for this staging.
“What makes Barefoot Theatre Collaborative’s staging so affecting is its refusal to neaten adulthood into something manageable. Something predictable. The musical doesn’t offer closure, only the echo of uncertainty: the distance between who we thought we’d become and who we are still becoming.”

“The fantastic live singing performances of this cast were undoubtable, as they nailed all those vocally-challenging songs.”
— Theater review: Barefoot's 'We Aren’t Kids Anymore’ deserves own cast album by Fred Hawson, ABS-CBN
“Enter that space, ride that emotional rollercoaster, and you might just have to go for one deep breath after the 90-minute show. And, much like the last song, WAKA will leave you with something when you go.”
— Theater Review: We Aren't Kids Anymore Reads Like a Poetry Collection ...that's meant to be seen live. by Christa I. De La Cruz, Esquire Philippines
“We Aren’t Kids Anymore begs to be witnessed live. You can listen to the studio recording on streaming, but seeing it onstage—having the actors’ voices fill up the room, the crescendo sending chills down your spine—communicates something that a recorded track or spoken dialogue alone can never completely capture.”

As the first offering of maiden theatre company Apothecary Productions, EMULSYON focused on two stories about mothers and sons dealing with the personal repercussions of Martial Law. Loyalist Redux saw a Marcos loyalist mother butt heads with her activist son. Meanwhile, Indigo Child focused on a mother, who is being treated with electroconvulsive therapy, retelling her story of torture and survival to her grieving son.
Bea handled marketing and social media management for the production, helping to double the company’s social media following and increasing exposure for the twin bill.
“Elijah Canlas and Meryll Soriano paint characters of remarkable depth in this modest but clear-eyed production on how we talk about martial law.”

One of the most beloved Filipino musicals of recent years, Mula sa Buwan had its first post-pandemic restaging in 2024 following a successful pandemic staging in 2022. The story is set in 1940s Philippines, right before the Japanese occupation. It follows Cyrano, who is in love with his childhood friend Roxane, as he helps new arrival Christian win her heart.
The all-new staging received critical acclaim.
Bea worked on PR for the production and also helped execute audience-centric events.
“Mula Sa Buwan is a movement and a testament of defiance to which everyone can relate.”

“It has taken 12 years for Mula sa Buwan to reach its matured version, which is now seamless, more realised, trimmed of its excesses, and clearer about each scene’s objectives.”

“The play perfectly encapsulates the wonders of human life: how true friendships are irreplaceable; how big our hearts can expand to take in emotions that are beyond what we thought we could feel; and how incredibly fleeting life can be.”

In 2023, Bea became part of her first production with then young theatre company Barefoot Collab. She did PR work for The Last Five Years, a non-linear song cycle about the crumbling relationship of writer Jamie and actress Cathy.
Barefoot Collab’s staging of the popular two-hander song cycle received critical acclaim and garnered nominations at the 14th Gawad Buhay, with the production winning four awards: Outstanding Production of Existing Material for a Musical, Male Lead Performance in a Musical for Myke Salomon, Outstanding Musical Direction for Rony Fortich, and Outstanding Set Design for Joey Mendoza.

“When all is said and done, the lack of ancillary characters or props allows the characters to take center stage, and Pangilinan and Salomon don’t disappoint.”

“And now that I watched it with a "more stable" view—only a very little bit—about relationships, the unconventional structure, powerful performances, and poignant storytelling of this Jason Robert Brown are all the more crystal clear reasons to catch it.”
